Home Help Assistants

We are seeking caring people to join our trusted home help service for older people and people with disabilities in Gateshead.

​

Happy to Help Gateshead has been supporting people to live independently in their own homes for over 20 years, and our team has a wonderful reputation for helping people to live in safety and comfort.

Main duties include:-

 

  • Ensuring homes are clean and tidy, by following the individual home help plan for each client

  • Providing shopping, prescription collection and paying bills for clients

  • Filling in client records, taking payment and bringing paperwork and payment to the head office on a weekly basis.

  • We provide support to our clients Mondays to Fridays, during the day. We never work evenings or weekends, and do not provide any personal care.

Each home help assistant had their own, personalised rota which are flexible, and built around any other commitments, making it a perfect role for work-life balance.

​

Our clients are based across Gateshead but we always try to match our home help assistants with clients that live in the areas that are compatible.

​

Home Help Assistants travel from client to client in their own vehicles, and all mileage expenses are paid for by Happy to Help Gateshead on top of the hourly rate of pay (at least minimum wage). 

​

Various hours are available, starting from just a few hours per week, building up to a rota that suits you.

 

All staff members are provided with full PPE.
